Bratislava Castle

View from the bank of the river in Bratislava is quite photogenic and I took advantage of it while I was there.

Bratislava Castle

This is one of the most famous views of the castle in Bratislava. I was there on a business trip last week and I managed to go out to capture this view. I was lucky to have some clouds on that evening because all the other days were clear and there were no interesting clouds. I was also surprised by the colour of the water which was quite green, as you can see. This is a two minute exposure to blur the sky and water a bit.

Trosky

I’ve been busy with different kinds of photos lately and I didn’t manage to do any landscape work. Last weekend I joined a trip to Český ráj. We visited this ruin called Trosky. Check out the map to see its exact location.

Cold Sunrise

Here I have another photo I took during the sunrise I watched from Prague Castle.

Karlstejn in Winter

This is one of the most famous castles in Czech Republic. It’s like from a fairy tale. This is a panorama I created from the photos I took yesterday.

The Lines

This is something new I tried recently. It’s a lot different from what I usually photograph but I sometimes get bored with the usual and want to try something new. I combined the original shot with a different shot (texture) to get this unique effect.

Sunset over Levice Castle

This is the second photo of the castle from my hometown I took the last day of the year 2011. It’s an old castle from the 13th century and now there are only ruins of it left.

Ghent Castle

If you didn’t know it, they have a castle in Ghent. It quite stands out of the other buildings there. And it looks great during the sunset:).

Fountain at Prague Castle

This photo was taken with my first wide-angle lens. It is 8-16mm Sigma and it’s great:). The angle you can capture with it is just spectacular. It’s a whole different view through this lens and it offers me new way how to capture the world around me. I need to learn how to use it so the photos benefit from it. This is one of the first pieces.

The Sun Behind the Castle

The sun setting behind the Prague Castle creates really interesting effect. There were no clouds in the sky the day I took this. When there are no clouds it’s usually boring but I think it’s not that bad in this case:).
